About the Role
The Sr. HR Manager is a strategic leader responsible for the organizational health of the company. This role is centered on: HR operations and recruitment. The team is globally distributed, including contractors in the UK, India, Australia, Canada and the USA, with a large team in India, requiring effective coordination across multiple timezones.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
People & HR Operations
Accountable for optimizing workplace culture, HR processes, and operational frameworks that empower managers and support overall employee engagement:
- Culture & Alignment: Foster and scale an inclusive workplace environment that models the company’s core values
- Policy Development: Lead the creation, updates and distribution of company policies, employee handbooks and operational guides.
- Compensation & Performance: Review and approve structural salary bands; oversee executive performance evaluations, goal-setting parameters and professional development paths.
- Employee Relations: Coach team leaders on conflict resolution, handle disciplinary processes, oversee corporate grievance policies and manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Accountable for the workforce planning and human capital pipeline of the company:
- Hiring Decisions: Maintain ultimate approval authority over all department-level hiring recommendations, talent requisitions and employment offers.
- Workforce Planning: Coordinate with leadership to evaluate staffing needs against revenue projections, scaling teams sustainably.
- Offboarding & Liability: Maintain executive oversight over involuntary termination meetings to guarantee compliance with labor laws and protect company culture.
Role Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of professional leadership experience heavily indexed in high-level human resource operations.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven understanding of web development, creative agency, or digital agency operating structures.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, master-level conflict management skills and a background in executive coaching or people management.
